Business Manager
Job Description
As a Business Manager at Avertim, you drive business growth by achieving turnover through business development, margin, and headcount objectives. You build and maintain client relationships, ensure adherence to internal and client processes, manage their client P&L, and recruit your own team. Additionally, you manage consultants to ensure high satisfaction and retention, while actively contributing in company initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Our consultants’ testimonials
Hi, I’m Perrine and I joined Avertim through the leadership program,
which gave me the opportunity to experience different roles within the organization. From the start, I knew that my goal was to grow into a Business Manager position. Having worked both as a consultant within Life Sciences and in an internal role at Avertim within the Sustainability team, I strongly feel that the Business Manager role brings my previous experiences together in a very complementary way.
As a Business Manager, I believe it is essential to truly understand what it means to be a consultant. A key aspect of the role, and for me the most important one, is the relationship with and follow-up of the consultants within your team. Having been a consultant myself, I hope to understand their challenges and expectations better, which allows me to support and guide them in the most effective way. In addition, business development is a significant part of the role, requiring the identification of new clients and project opportunities. Thanks to my experience within Avertim’s Sustainability department, I am currently also involved in developing our sustainability service line. Gaining a deep understanding of the project content is both challenging and essential, not only to ensure strong follow-up of consultants, but also to fully understand client needs and determine how we can best support them. Finally, working within a strong and supportive team is crucial for me. This role is about both giving and receiving: collaborating as a team increases efficiency, enhances shared success, and provides support during more challenging moments.
In summary, the Business Manager role offers a wide variety of opportunities: building and growing a team, developing strong relationships, learning from one another, gaining exposure to diverse project content, meeting new people through recruitment and client interactions, and above all, being part of a collaborative and driven team.
